Amazing September weekend

My week was a little hectic. We had Monday offf for the holiday weekend and I had to go to Baltimore on Tuesday. I did not feel to safe there…. so I stayed right next to my hotel and ate Potbelly for 3 meals..

I woke up at 2:30am Thursday morning our time to catch my flight then worked my booty off the next two days to prep to take most of next week off.

My parents came on Thursday to stay with us. Friday we started a show and had pizza and some cake. Saturday I woke up and ran with some friends and had a lovely 9 Mile run. I was a little worried though because when I got to the run club, I realized I forgot my running shoes. Luckily I had my racquetball shoes in the back from when I had played pickleball about a month ago and haven’t taken them out. Those actually worked out pretty well for the run. Around 7 and 1/2 miles it started to hurt a little bit, but it ended up being okay for the 9 mi. I ended up having coffee afterwards with friends and then picking the kids up from lifetime to take them home for lunch. We stopped at Target on the way home to get groceries for tacos.

The kiddos ate and then came with me to get a flu and covid shot so that I can do a clinical immersion in a couple weeks. We went to a couple garage sales and then ended up at the park. The kids loved climbing up the slides.

After the park we went home and Joel and I drove to Hudson to watch Tucker so a ju jitsu match. We had some drinks and ate dinner and then came home. The kids were so good for my parents! We were shocked!

Sunday Joel took the kids to the gym. I read and relaxed with my mom. My dad and Joel’s dad played pickleball together.  I walked the kids to Aldi to get groceries. Tucker came over to watch the game with my dad.

I cooked and meal prepped after a nap. The meals I made were: used the leftover taco meat to make a homemade hamburger helper dish, breakfast burritos for Joel with sausage and bacon, protein zucchini muffins, and chicken fritters. The kids played outside with Joel a bit and finished the night off with some popsicles.

It was a lovely fall feeling in Minnesota!!
