Beginning of October, my favorite month!

October is my favorite month.  The weather is starting to change along with the colors – I love sweatshirt weather.  The brisk weather brings all the feels as it’s marathon season! I am supposed to be running Twin Cities Marathon tomorrow – but got sidelined with my hip surgery.. I ran 10 miles this morning instead!

Looking Ahead

Some big things this month to look forward to!

  • A couple happy hours and a birthday party for a friend’s daughter
  • Starting my new job! I start on the 3rd, back at Medtronic. I will be a Principal Biomedical Engineer in the Technology Group for Cardiac Implantables.
  • I got a new digital planner that is like the Hobonichi Cousin/hybrid with the Weekly – I am excited for a new month to try it out
  • Our 4th Wedding Anniversary at the end of the month – hopefully we can do a nice date night
  • Swimming lessons for the kiddo continue through the month
  • Halloween! Excited for trick or treating with Hailey and Miles this year. Hailey loved it last year! She is going to be a monkey this year and Miles is going to be a chicken.
  • The lovely fall weather to hopefully start building up my mileage again, it makes me so happy to be running!
  • Maybe go to a pumpkin patch or something with the kiddos – the one we went to last year was really fun for Hailey

A few memories from September

  • My last day at Boston Scientific and happy hour
  • The wedding/family vacation
  • I got a new car! Traded in the Prius for a RAV4
  • Joel biked up to Duluth and Cassie and I did a girl’s night up there – the kiddos slept over at Dan and Sheri’s
  • Hurricane Ian hit Fort Myers – my parents are safe with some damage to their house, but definitely lucky compared to what some people are going through
  • We got an awesome play set put up in our yard from a coworker
  • I took senior pictures for someone that lives near us
  • We got to go on a boat with some friends
  • Hailey moved up to preschool and Miles started the transition to the toddler room
