Day 5 of the Book-a-Day Countdown to 2026! This one is definitely a book that met me exactly where I am right now. (For all prompts, view this post)
The Prompt: Right Book, Right Season of Life
The Definition: A story that hit at the perfect moment.
The Book:
Don’t Call it a Comeback by Keira D’Amato

My Rating:
Keira D’Amato is the ultimate “mom runner” icon (taking a 10-year break to be a realtor and mom before breaking the American Record?!).
If you run, you know who Keira D’Amato is. But reading her story about stepping away from the sport, building a career, becoming a mom, and then finding her way back to the startling line simply because she loved it was exactly what I needed to hear.
As a mom balancing working, kiddos, and finding my love for running again, it’s easy to get caught up in the numbers and the stress of how far away I am from where I used to be. This book was a beautiful reminder that the magic happens when you stop chasing the clock and start chasing the joy. It’s the perfect mindset going into my 2026 training block: Run happy.
If you can listen to the audiobook – do it!!
