Busy Weekend

Friday

I had to work until 5-ish pm on Friday, but after my meeting we went to Target, got the kids and the picked up my new laptop (I LOVE it). We came home and had homemade pizza and then went to bed.

Saturday

It was a little hectic Saturday morning. I took both kiddos to swimming lessons while Joel went to Pickleball. After swimming, we went to Burger King and had some breakfast. The kids played in the play place for a bit to kill time before conferences. We went to the daycare and met with both kiddos’ teachers. It was so nice to talk to them when we had a little less chaotic environment like pickup or drop off. We love the daycare and the teachers!

After conferences, we took the kiddos home for quiet time. Miles took a good nap, Hailey fell asleep but Joel’s sneeze woke her up – she will tell you all about it! I went for my ‘long run’ that didn’t completely happen.. I shortened it and only got in about 6 miles.

I got showered and ready to meet up with my friend for a girl’s night. We went and had coffee and then got pedicures and then to Biaggis in Maple Grove for dinner. It was so fun!! It was great chatting with someone that is in the same stage of life – we met at the First Time Mama’s group and have been friends since. I also saw some racquetball friends at the restaurant! Joel took the kids to Costco and then Dicks and they grabbed Culver’s for dinner before bed. I got home at a good time and headed to bed.

Sunday

Daylight savings is not fun for parents… but the kiddos didn’t do as bad as I thought they would with it – Hailey even slept in a little bit. Our first stop in the morning was Target. We got groceries and headed home. The kids played while I put together a new storage shelf for our entry way. When Joel got home, I hopped on the Peloton and he got the kids down for a nap. After nap time, we hung out around the house a bit. Joel took the kids for a walk while I meal prepped. I made him a Crispy Pork Bowl from Feeding the Frazers book and an egg bake. I made myself some air fried tofu in an Indian sauce. After meal prep and an early dinner, I took the kids to Dairy Queen to split a mini blizzard. It was a lovely time! After the kids went to bed, Joel and I tried to watch a rom com on Netflix, but gave up pretty quickly.

The night ended with me sleeping on Hailey’s floor after she threw up multiple times and went through 2 different bed sheets….. ugh. So glad she is feeling better today!

I started tracking WW Sunday morning. Excited for the new program to start in a week or so!
