January 7, 2024Book Review with Spoilers | Nora Goes Off Script by Annabelle Monaghan
January 20, 2024I’ve had a little FOMO of not having a written planner when I see all the pretty planners on instagram. I have to remind myself that I would not have the time to make them as pretty as everyone else’s and digital planning really has been the thing that’s been working for me… although the Hobonichi Weeks planner looks minimal enough that might work for what I want. I do like the time blocking though.. and the ease of changing stuff
Weekly Spreads
The first two weeks of January are already done! Whoa! I was back to work this past week so had a lot more meetings I schedule into my planner, although didn’t completely keep updated. I put the two weekly spreads below:
Monthly Spreads:
I’ve successfully been eating at home and love that I ‘planned’ out the month’s meals in advance. It makes it so much easier to not go out to eat or buy food when I really don’t need to.
I thought I would try out book tracking in one of the monthly spreads. The top of the day is if I started a book that day and the bottom is if I finished it. I also added a little icon for if I read or listened to it. I am on a roll for audiobooks this month! With Joel being gone for a week, it was tough to sit and just read so I listened to books while I picked up at night or went for walks during the day.
I also decided to use the last monthly link for planning out my runs to get me ready for the marathon! Right now it’s just my long run distances I need to do so didn’t both pasting into here…
What’s working:
- Just writing in the calendar and not worrying if it looks pretty
- The monthly spread for meal planning! It helped take some of the mental burden off of what to eat/get for groceries
- Habit tracking on the side and not being too caught up on if I did or didn’t that day, but happy that most of them are checked off
What I might change:
- Tracking my workouts as I do them hasn’t really been happening, but maybe when I ramp up my training for my marathon it will
