Father’s Day Weekend | 2024

We had a jam packed weekend! Friday, I got new tires on my car and then went to happy hour with some friends. I saw lots of people there that I knew, including coworkers and our old neighbors.

Saturday, I went for a 5 mile run while Joel took the kiddos to the gym. I took the kids to Target to get some groceries and ended up buying some clothes for the kiddos too. After Target, we had originally planned on going to one of the local city’s summer festival to play on some inflatables, but it was raining so we met some friends at the bowling alley to take the kiddos to run around the arcade and bowl for the first time. When we got there they had a really cool deal that kids can bowl two games free per day all summer! The kiddos had a blast for one game! After bowling, we headed home. Joel grabbed Chinese for dinner and then headed off to pickleball.

Sunday morning, Joel headed off to play some pickleball and I took the kids to the gym. After the gym, we went to Bunker Beach to swim with the same friends we bowled with. Joel met up with his best friend for lunch and to play some frisbee golf. It was almost 90 degrees out so it was hot!

Miles had so much fun going down the slide right when we got there – he probably went down 20 times without stopping. We got some lunch and then went around the lazy river a few times. Hailey stubbed her toe and needed a bandaid and some rest before she was ready to play some more. We left the park around 2:30 and went home. Joel took the kids to his parents house to play for a bit and I followed shortly after picking up pizza for the kids. We ate delicious Indian food for dinner and had amazing pie that Joel’s sister made. We got home and got the kiddos to bed and I fell asleep super early.
