July Reads – In process
July 5, 2022Protected: Weekend Recap
July 25, 2022We had a fairly busy 4th weekend!
Friday, Hailey and Miles had a daycare parade. It was SO CUTE! The kids walked around the park across the street from the daycare and parents came and cheered them on. Joel’s parents joined. I guess Hailey got sad that I left after her parade and she had to stay at school. I met a friend from Cummins at Panera and had lunch with her. It was so nice to catch up and hear about how life and her family are doing! I went and got my nails done and then got the kiddos and went home to have dinner. I cleaned up the house a bit since we were going to have people over for dinner on Saturday.
Saturday morning, Joel went to pickleball so I had the kiddos. I took them to target to get groceries and then headed home to get them ready to go to the splash pad. I had thought I was meeting someone that I met on the Peanut app there… but turns out it’s next weekend, oops! The kids had a blast though! It was a little chilly but Hailey didn’t seem to mind. We had the whole splash pad to ourselves! Joel got there and played with them a bit. We got to our cars right as it started to rain really hard. We took the kids home to take eat lunch and take naps. Once the kids woke up, we headed to Ham Lake for their Freedom Festival. Hailey was so brave! She went up the bouncy slide and through the bouncy obstacle course so many times! They got their eyes checked through the Ham Lake Lion’s club. Miles was flagged as possibly having astigmatism and might be good to go to an eye doctor. We headed to the house and Joel’s parents and Katie and Victor came over and we had Pizza Luce and Joel’s mom brought chocolate cake. It was a fun packed day!
Sunday
Joel was amazing and let me sleep in until about 7:30. We had breakfast and got Miles down for a nap. I took Hailey to get groceries at Walmart while Joel worked out. I joined in and did a little workout when I got back in the garage as well. I changed the saddle out on my Peloton and then did a 15 minute ride. We grilled food and had a picnic on the deck. Hailey did some quiet time while we hung out with Miles. After quiet time, we went to the New Brighton Community Center for a play date with some friends. It was so nice to see them since it had been a while. We went home and had dinner and got the kiddos down for bed. The kiddos only woke up once to fireworks, so I was very impressed with that!
Monday
Miles slept in until 6!! We had pancakes and eggs for breakfast. Joel went and played pickleball inside since it was rainy out. We went over to his parents house with his aunt and uncle and cousin for lunch and just chatted. I came home a little early and meal prepped for the week with no kids. Once the kids went to bed, I cleaned the carpets! It was an exhausting day.
