Weekly Update

For being a short week, it seem busy! Work seemed to fly by. I have a big presentation at work this Friday plus we had interns and new hire start this morning.

I was able to make it to a weekday MOTR workout! It was really hot and I struggled a ton… but it was such a great group of ladies!

I was able to sneak a dentist appointment in and get my car service in this week before the weekend kicked off.

We did lots of outside time this weekend. I made multiple trips to Lowes to pick up stuff for the yard. I got an inflatable pool from Walmart for cheap (it already has a hole in it so I need to keep pumping it up) and then a little hose splash pad from Aldi. The kids had so much fun with it.

Saturday I got in Orange Theory instead of running and then after nap time and some outside time, we went to Joel’s parents for a bit. I went with his mom and picked out nail stuff with her at Sallys, it was so fun!

I got our weed whacker working again and got the yard cut a bit but got incredibly sunburned. My body was so sore that I decided to skip my long run for the week. Joel was able to get 10 miles in but he was feeling pretty awful from the heat and humidity. He was able to get out and play some Pickleball though on Sunday afternoon.

Joel’s friends and their kids came over to play and we grilled Sunday evening. It was a great way to finish off the weekend!

Miles was very demanding that he got to sleep with his new ball

Joel got sponsored by TMPR again so he got a bunch of goodies to play with. I did my nails last night after I broke one taking doing all sorts of yard work.

One of the coolest things to see ever.. I went on to Linked In and the product I had worked on was implanted into a human for the first time ever. Make it all seem worth it!

Orange Theory Fitness Summer Shred

Summer Shred started June 5th at Orange Theory. It goes through the end of July. It’s an 8 week challenge that cost $25. You do 3 In Body scan (which are normally $15 a piece). If you do 37 workouts (7 can be at home), you do not need to pay the $25. The winner of the challenge gets $250 and second place gets $150.

I decided to sign up to keep myself accountable for the next 8 weeks. I also want to do the in body scans, so it’s basically a good deal! I figure this is a good accountability spot/tracker for me.

If I do all of those track workouts, then that would cover all of my out of studio workouts. I would then need to complete the 30 in studio workouts. Over 8 weeks, that averages 3.75 workouts in studio a week. Whew! That will get me my $25 back! And, if I keep at it, maybe I’ll even lose a little more weight, transform a little more muscle… and win one of the prizes??? Gotta keep the eating in check too!
