Friday
Work was a little hectic, especially since I lose 3 days next week to a class at the U. Our daycare did Muffins with Mom again this year, so I went there to enjoy snack time with the kids. I signed them out early and then we went to the park to play. We went home for dinner and I finished up some work and then went to bed early since I had to be up early for my long run.

Saturday
I woke up early to head down to meet a friend to get my long run in. I met up with my first ever running friend, and one of the big reasons I came back to Minneapolis after graduating. We got 7 miles in before meeting with the club. I had intended to run 17 miles, so had 10 left with the group. I am one of the slowest in the group, so ended up running majority alone. I got insanely thirsty so stopped at a gas station to grab a Gatorade then decided to walk the last mile and half. It was beautiful out and I. was. done. I had breakfast with some of the club, which was awesome to catch up with people I haven’t seen in a while that I used to spend so many miles with.

The kids did “quiet time” while Joel mowed and picked up a bit. We headed to the park for a while to enjoy the afternoon. Miles was adorable, he walked hand in hand with me a bit and just enjoyed looking at the river. Then we threw some rocks in and that became his favorite activity. It was warm so we went down the street to get some ice cream and then picked up pizza for dinner. The kiddos watched the Might Pups movie and I watched some softball before going to bed super early.

Sunday
Joel let me sleep in for Mother’s Day. Hailey and I both slept til 7!! We hung out a little bit and then Joel took the kids to the gym so I could have the house to myself. We headed over to his parent’s house for brunch. Brunch was delicious, quite a few mimosas. The kids had a blast with the hose.
After brunch, we went to Cub — they found my iPad I left there a couple of weeks ago! What a relief. It had been hanging out in the back, they thought a vendor had left it so it wasn’t in their lost and found. Joel went to get groceries and I did some meal prep. I walked the stroller to the grocery store and to the park for a bit with the kiddos and then we came home for some dinner and down time before bed. It was a lovely Mother’s Day weekend.
