It was a really great month of reading. I liked most of the books that I read!
My three favorite were The Winners, Court of Mist and Fury, and Carrie Soto is Back.
The Winners was the #3 book in the Beartown series. It was great – all of the characters and their stories. I almost cried in a couple of parts. So much emotion in the end of the book! I hadn’t read the previous 3 in a while, but I caught back up pretty quickly
A Court of Mist and Fury was the #2 book in the Court of Thorns and Roses series. It is not my normal genre – I RARELY do fantasy books. Something about the characters and the story.. I have the third book on hold with the library now!
Carrie Soto was about a retired tennis star that decides to come out of retirement when her record of grand slam wins is threatened. My only issue with this book was knowing that a top ranked women’s tennis player would not be beating any of the top ranked men’s players…so I had to put some blinders onto that.
My absolute least favorite book was Verity. I don’t know how people like it… so so bad. So triggering with all of the violence/bad thoughts towards children. The twist wasn’t believable or good… it was just – bad.
