Weekly Workout Recap (v.1)

Weekly Workouts for Week of July 12-July 18

Monday –

Rest Day

Tuesday –

Walk: .60 miles; 15m 0s

Run: 3.11 miles; 33m 57s (10:55/mile) – ran around Lake Nokomis with the stroller with Miles, super hot and icky.  I also wore shorts that used to be baggy on me but are tight right now… so I chafed a bunch. I stopped a couple of times to put vaseline from the diaper bag on my thighs but it didn’t help too much.

Wednesday –

Run: 4.01 miles; 50m 27s (12:34/mile) – I ran with the neighbor friend and it was great to have company! The weather was pretty good, very muggy so I sweat a ton!  But this was the longest amount of straight running I have done in a long time!  We walked the woodchips and bridge in Pioneer Park and the grass connector by the new Harpers development since the stroller is tough to go over that stuff, but other than that I ran the rest of it!

Peloton 5 minute Post Run Stretch

SP Shift: Low step ups, KB deadlifts, Dead bugs/Unweighted Russian Twists

Thursday –

SP Rehab W1D1: Table Top Scap Pushups, Table Top Rocks, Shin Box Flow

SP SOGO W1D1: Alt. Seated Single Arm Shoulder Press, Lateral Raises, 200m-ish walk (with Miles around the living room!)

Walk (very little run): 2.09 miles; 35m 18s

Friday –

SP Rehab W1D2: Cat/Cows, Wall Angels, Elevated Scap Shrugs, 100 marches in places – Miles loved the Cat/Cows, I did them in front of him while he was on the boppy and he gave me this giant gummy smile every time

Saturday –

SP Rehab W1D3: child’s pose, shin box flow to kneeling, shoulder taps, tempo good mornings

SP Shift: Overhead press, rowing, alt. goblet lunges

Walk: 1.43 miles; 29m 27s – walked with Hailey in the stroller so she could nap since she refused to lay down today

Sunday –

Run: 4.28 miles; 47m 47s (11:10/mile) – 2:00/0:30 run/walk intervals with the MOTR crew and Miles! Really sweaty due to no wind at all, but lovely company.

SP Rehab W1D4: tempo box squats, kneeling inch worms

How I’m feeling:

I was VERY sore after the first Shift workout, which was tough to try running on Thursday. It felt good to run with people though Sunday and my body felt as good as it can! I tweaked my knee beginning of the week moving Hailey’s toddler bed…. it seems to be better though.
